Ciaran misrepresents Scott

Ciaran posted this misleading rant on his blog recently about
Scott's no holds barred group

"it's becoming pretty obvious
that my initial hope
about what this group was
was sadly misfounded
it's fucking crazy
it's like
scott's playing to the crowd
and sticking a fucking spoke in the wheels
of any genuine liberation
almost even before it begins
he's like just fucking
hovering over the group
and the second someone looks like
they might be actually getting something from us
he leaps in
starts spouting shit
gives their delusion
this massive shot in the arm
and then....
if we ignore him
and just keep on these people
through all the shit
trying to fucking free them?
he bans us!
it's madness
and it's so wrong
what he's doing is so wrong
he's free
he doesn't fucking need this
but he's just fucking these people over
and playing to the worst part of them
and then showboating
about how 'anti forum moderation' he is
...
AS A REASON TO BAN US!
?????"

Ciaran badly misrepresents Scott here.
Scott made it very clear that blocking other users would lead to a ban.
Ciaran wouldn't unblock some users, so he got banned - simple as that.

I myself blocked Rob Ethridge for a while - his postings were too prolific and I had no time to engage him, plus his sheer volume of posts was crashing Chrome (I've since switched to iexplorer and it is more stable) - so I blocked Rob - I was completely ignoring him anyway, so it actually made no difference to me at the time to be doing so.

Scott is taunting Ciaran's tight control over ruthlesstruth.com by playing this no block card.
Ciaran then uses his dislike for Scott's tactics as a way to dismiss what he did, but actually, Ciaran has no authentic gripe here - it's just sour grapes.

Ciaran's anger at Scott enables him to badly misrepresent what Scott was doing, and it's interesting to see that Viv didn't pull him up on it.

Scott does showboat - he appears hungry for attention and approval, and he does appear to care more for how he is seen, than for actually assisting people.

This is a very unfortunate trait, but that is what selfishness does.
It puts self above the greater good - that's why the world is the mess that it is.

    Why is it interesting?

  2. Well either you didn't spot it - which says a lot about your perceptivity, or you're more loyal to Ciaran than the truth.

    Neither are terribly flattering.

    Is there another option?
